Degree Program: PhD

Bio

I am a second year PhD student in the program for Archaeology of Complex Societies, focusing on the Maya region. I have recently worked on the Holmul Archaeology Project at the site of La Sufricaya in Guatemala excavating Classic Period Maya residential structures. My academic work focuses on Classic Period Maya ceramics, iconography, and hieroglyphic writing (epigraphy). Outside of work and school I enjoy drawing and creating digital illustrations, studying and drawing Maya hieroglyphs (yes, for fun), socializing with friends, telling strange and funny stories, and collecting and distributing "dad" jokes.
