Dr. Blakely Brooks (Bama Anthro Alum / PhD 2011), Associate Teaching Professor of Anthropology at East Carolina University, received the Global Partners in Education (GPE) Rosina C. Chia Award for Excellence in Teaching. This honor recognizes his work in the Global Understanding program at ECU. Through this program, he collaborates with partner instructors at institutions around the world to connect students for intercultural exchange so they can build the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to succeed in a global, multicultural society.
