Dr. Nicole L. Henderson (Bama Anthro alum, PhD 2022), Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology in the Department of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham, has won the Department of Medicine’s URiM award (Underrepresented in Medicine Emerging Researchers Award). This honor recognizes her investigator-initiated research in the department, as well as her collaborations with other researchers. The award includes a cash prize, along with additional resources for continuing and expanding her work.
