Former M.A. student Diana Simpson won the SEAC (Southeastern Archaeological Conference Book Prize) for her paper, “Synthesizing Care and Violence During the Archaic Period in North Alabama,” which was based on her UA M.A. thesis, advised by Keith Jacobi. This is the largest book prize in the world, with books valued at over $6,000. Congratulations, Diana!
