Anthropology Club Trip to Mammoth Cave

We are taking a guided tour of the longest cave system in the world, led by University of Kentucky archaeologist George Cruthers, and hearing all about the cave’s history and archaeology. The total distance is around 3 miles and there are 50-60 stairs. We will need lanterns/flashlights for about 2/3 of the walk. We will be in the cave for 3+ hours. It will be fairly cold, so plan to dress accordingly. Please bring a flashlight, comfortable walking shoes, warm clothes, a water bottle, a pillow/blanket or sleeping bag, and money for food.
Anthropology Club members who are signed up to go should meet in the West Commuter parking lot behind ten Hoor at 4:00 on Thursday, October 25. We will spend two nights in Cave City, KY, and return to campus on Saturday, October 27.
