Southeastern Evolutionary Perspectives Society (SEEPS)

February 9, 2017

Once again, The University of Alabama is helping celebrate the birthday of Charles Darwin and supporting evolution research, education, and outreach by hosting the 2nd annual Southeastern Evolutionary Perspectives Society meeting. Please join us in promoting what UA alumnus E.O. Wilson termed “consilience,” or agreement between approaches to a topic (evolution, in this case) of different academic subjects.

Thursday will feature free teaching workshops in Smith Hall (Alabama Natural History Museum) Room 100.

Friday & Saturday will feature talks & poster presentations & keynote by paleoecologist Patricia Kelley (Friday night).

Full conferences registration is $110 (faculty/staff), $60 (K-12 teachers), $40 (undergrads/grad students), & free for K-12 students. Cost to attend Darwin Dinner & keynote address alone is $35.

Attached are event flyers & program schedule. Please join us & circulate!

Hope to see you there!
