Medicine, Mind, Biology and Culture (MMBAC) Meeting
January 25, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The first-ever meeting of Medicine, Mind, Biology and Culture (MMBAC) is on January 25, 2016 at noon in room 21. In addition to getting acquainted, we will be discussing the schedule for the semester, and signing up for slots to bring in articles, work in progress, or anything else.
MMBAC is an informal, brown-bag lunch meeting, where graduate students, faculty, and interested undergraduate students in biocultural medical anthropology and other relevant fields can:
- discuss recent publications (or films!) of interest in the field of medical anthropology, biological anthropology, or psychocultural anthropology
- circulate drafts of works in progress
- practice conference presentations and get feedback from peers
Meetings will take place the last Monday of each month from 12pm-1pm inroom 21, starting January 25th. If you are unable to attend the first meeting, but are interested in attending subsequent meetings, please email Juliann to receive articles for discussion.
