Congrats! I just received word that you have been awarded a National Alumni Association Graduate Fellowship for 2016-2017. It is highly competitive, and we’re so pleased.
In case you don’t already have this in hand, I’ve attached a copy of the letter from the Graduate Dean that spells out all the details. This will replace your GTA funding offer for next year. Instead of 9 credit hours per semester in your first year, you’ll register for 12, and will have no teaching responsibilities.
Very important: you must write Dean Francko to explicitly accept the fellowship offer no later than May 4 (his email address is on the letter). I encourage you to simply do this today. It is best if you copy me on your acceptance email as well.
