Archaeology Adventures on APTV

In October, Alex Benitez and John Blitz hosted a film crew from Alabama Public Television (APTV) at
Moundville Archaeological Park. APTV is filming a program, Archaeology Adventures, an effort to engage
2nd through 5th grade students in learning about Alabama’s history in conjunction with the state’s
Bicentennial. Three young archaeology “adventurers” explored the Moundville site with John Blitz acting
as their archaeologist guide. This film will be available as an interactive streaming event in which
students in class room’s all over Alabama can ask John questions about archaeology. If you have a kid
interested in history and archaeology, Archaeology Adventures will stream live using your internet
