The Department of Anthropology has had an award winning Masters Degree program since the early 1950s. This is a research degree offered in all four fields of anthropology.
In the summer of 2002, the Anthropology Department received final approval to initiate a Ph.D. program emphasizing two foci of investigation: the archaeology of the complex societies of Native America and biocultural medical anthropology.
Anyone interested in applying to the M.A. program or either track of our PhD program is encouraged to read about it on this site and to contact the Chairman of the Department of Anthropology, Dr. Michael D. Murphy at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ian W. Brown at email@example.com.
