Spring 2016 James R. Bindon Lecture in Biocultural Anthropology & Health

March 24, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

We have a confirmed speaker and date for a Spring 2016 James R. Bindon Lecture in Biocultural Anthropology & Health.
Dr. Molly Zuckerman from Mississippi State University will be joining us at noon on Thursday, March 24 to discuss “Syphilis and health: Differential frailty, the developmental origins of health and disease, and the pathophysiology of syphilis.” Her Bindon Lecture will be held in Lloyd Hall rm. 337.
Dr. Zuckerman is a paleopathologist and bioarchaeologist, and a former student of the legendary George Armelagos. She also has written extensively on epidemiological transitions, and edited the recent volume “Modern Environments and Human Health: Revisiting the Second Epidemiological Transition.”
I hope you will all block out this time in your calendar if you possibly can. It promises to be an outstanding colloquium. More details will be forthcoming on opportunities to meet with Dr. Zuckerman as the date approaches.
